The following review of Movie Choices no longer applies since their merger with LoveFilm means they no longer offer their own rental service. In our recent review we gave LoveFilm a 5 star rating and are sure past and future Movie Choices customers will be pleased with the merger. It does mean MoviesChoices website is no longer accepting new members however and the review below no longer applies. Join LoveFilm Here

If you are looking for a no frills DVD rental service then the online offering from Moviechoices.com (formerly choiceserental.com) might be right up your street. There are few bells and whistles with this company just a straight forward, professional, subscription rental service with a little extra trimming here and there.
The basic set up is the same as most of their competitors. You add DVDs to your rental queue, watch the ones they send you, send them back and get more by return of post. For this, you pay a competitively priced monthly subscription charge which entitles you to have up to 3 movies rented and in your possession at any one time.
The Moviechoices.com website is very simple to use, so possibly a great option for the technophobic novice internet user. Despite the somewhat cluttered look of the home page, the rental queue is simple to set up and general user interface is very simplistic and easy navigate around.
However, this simplicity does come at a small cost in terms of number of options and additional facilities which other companies offer. Users can rate a DVD but not comment or leave reviews on it for example, there is a lack of industry news and other editorial pieces which makes browsing around many of their competitor sites more interesting and informative. The descriptions of films are also very brief which means you often have very little idea of what they are really about and need to look elsewhere for additional information, a problem exacerbated by lack of other user input.
These are however, small points in what is otherwise a solid, professional online rental site with a good reputation for delivering DVDs on time, dealing promptly with customer queries and in general, providing a satisfying rental experience.
